“I believe every indoor space benefits from the presence of the great outdoors.”
- David Beavis, Photographer
People tend to be much calmer and happier when surrounded by images of natural beauty. It has a way of keeping you balanced, in harmony with what’s really important in life. That’s why I believe that every indoor space needs to have a touch of the outdoors within it.
When I Was 12 Years Old, My Parents Handed Me My Future
My parents gave me a camera ahead of our big family trip to Europe and I got so caught up in the exotic scenes and images that I shot everywhere I looked. My folks were surprised at how good a lot of the photos were and said that I had a natural eye. That experience encouraged me to dive into photography wholeheartedly. Years later, after much study and practice, I was able to start earning my living by following my passion.
We Came a Long, Long Way to Get Here
I love my native Australia, yet I always had a dream of opening an art gallery in the United States. With my wife Anthea and our four children, I made the trek from Perth, Australia to Park City, Utah where my dream was realized as David Beavis Fine Art Gallery opened in 2015. The gallery’s mission is to offer inspiring and beautiful natural images that are characterized by extraordinary quality and uniqueness.
Honored to Be Recognized by My Peers
It’s extremely gratifying to be singled out by those in my own profession. This year, I have been ranked in the Top 10 for Fine Art Photographers and Black and White photographers in the USA. Both of these awards were granted by an international photographic competition known as the OneEyland Awards. Learn more about some of the 90 international awards I’ve received: Artist Awards
A Process of Continual Improvements
I love new photographic technologies and try to incorporate the best into the prints I create. The results are layered images that produce a dramatic, unexpected three-dimensional effect and textured canvas prints that have a painterly quality.
Whether you’re a private collector, interior design firm, business or another type of organization, I invite your inquiry. Please email me or call the gallery at (435) 602-1123.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
